CW: 170 lbs and Iron Fit and healthy!
I started my journey at Iron House Fitness on February 1st, 2015. I had no clue what I was doing, but I knew I had to do something. I was interested in this gym because of the different types of classes they offer. I thought I would do better in a group setting, than just on my own, which I've always failed at in the past. I started with their Cycle class and I was addicted after one session!! Then I tried a boot camp class. I was so nervous and worried what others would think of me, since I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. That nervousness quickly faded, as I found everyone at IHF was so supportive. The trainers and even the members were so positive, always helpful and cheering me on! Anytime I felt lost or like I couldn't do something, the instructors were always right there to help! They encouraged me, motivated me, and pushed me through many new accomplishments and personal goals! The question I get asked most is, how do I stay motivated? The answer..."Because of my gym"! Without Iron House and their kick ass staff, I'd still be overweight, miserable, and unhealthy. I went in with a very negative mindset, and after my first private training session with Danielle, I left with a positive "I can do anything!" attitude! And now 4 months, later I am down 40lbs, 4 pant sizes, 2 shirt sizes, and gained a whole new confidence I never thought I'd have! I even ran my first 5k thanks to Kim (manager), for motivating me and helping me every step of the way. To wrap things up, if you are looking to loose a large or small amount of weight, make a lifestyle change or just keep motivated... this is the gym to join! They have everything you could want and more...(and I have to add by far the cleanest gym I've been to!)
